Understanding the stages of the employee lifecycle I have designed key experience touch points, checkpoints, assessments and markers for ensuring employees are being engaged and their experience is being optimised from candidacy through to offboarding (good-goodbyes).
I have defined employee value proposition and worked with people teams to scale the value proposition across the organization through facilitated sessions, internal communications and leadership training.
Defining and articulating ‘who do we want to be as a business?’ and ‘how do we want to be’?
Working with executive and founding teams to define company culture, ensure agreement and alignment at a leadership level and then deploy the culture throughout the business.
Including KPI and performance measurement formulation aligned to culture as well as recognition program design linked to ‘winning culture behaviours’ and 'values in action’. I have worked on the design of organisational rituals, habits and artefacts to perpetuate culture and desired experience.
Working with startup and scale up businesses to hone, define and wrangle people strategy practices into a formalised structure as opposed to ad hoc. Aligning to ‘what does successful people practice look like in this business?’
Coaching and guiding established and new leadership teams regarding an array of people, company culture and employee experience issues. I have coached and mentored leaders from global businesses as well as early stage startups individually and in groups.
I have designed and executed employee experience assessment processes for businesses of up to 350 people (co-located or globally distributed). The surveys were run online and coupled with a deep-dive insight gathering workshop process with a cross section or all of the organisation (company size dependent). The assessments were built on TypeForm and reporting and feedback were compiled by myself.
‘Who is right for us?’ is a question scale-up clients would often ask. Working with their organisational DNA (vision, mission, purpose and values) I helped them define the profile of a ‘Rockstar’ with regards to technical requirements, culture fit and culture add.
I also developed unique recruiting tactics to test for specific characteristics and traits.
I have designed and developed fit for purpose and general leadership development curriculums. One of these programs was rolled out to over 3000 leaders in a global FMCG business (live in room and live online training).
I also built an on-demand online training academy covering ‘Employee Experience Fundamentals’ as well as ‘Leading for Experience’.
In addition to building fit for purpose learning and development programs I have also trained and facilitated these and other workshops and educational sessions live in room as well as online via Zoom.
Helping companies of all sizes define, articulate or refine their personal organisational DNA. Company culture, employee experience and people strategy needs to be built off of a strong foundational base, the organisational DNA. I have worked with various people and leadership teams to define DNA, test the relevance of previously articulated DNA and add detail or definition to existing DNA.
It has been said that ‘joining an organisation is like arriving at a party that has been going on without you for years.’ I have helped various start up and scale up businesses design their onboarding processes from candidacy through to day 90. This has included the creation of training material, company collateral and induction packs.
I have worked on the implementation of, or guidance on online recognition platforms best suited to the businesses culture as well as the development of bespoke, fully playable ‘recognition games’.
Managing experience during mergers and acquisitions is critical to ongoing business success. I have worked with scale-ups in the acquisition process to design impactful and ongoing communication and engagement strategies as well as seeing them through to implementation and post merger employee experience assessment and alignment work.
I have codified the culture of organisations working across industries and geographies by designing and writing culture handbooks and employee handbooks for them
I have designed and delivered numerous keynote talks, sat on multiple panels and shared thought leadership and insight on radio, television and in written publications. I have been featured in South Africa’s Entrepreneur Magazine and The Financial Times. I was voted one of South Africa’s Top 50 Business Women To Watch in 2018 by Entrepreneur Magazine.
